Silverton was a mining town that opened in 1874, due to the signing of the Brunot Treaty with the Ute Indians.
Come and enjoy the outdoors by hiking, jeeping, fishing, camping, or take a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
