The Topaz Lodge has been owned by the same family for most of the past 30 years, with the second generation having purchased the business in January 2005.

The Topaz Lodge has been a landmark of Buena Vista for over 125 years. The 2-story portion of the building was built in 1879 and rumored to be a brothel for many years. It now houses a private residence. It is not known exactly when the first motel rooms were built on to the original building, but is thought to be about 1910. This portion includes what are now rooms 1 through 14. The last addition of rooms, including 15 through 19 were built in about 1950.

The Topaz Lodge is committed to providing our customers the best value in lodging available in Buena Vista. We provide clean rooms at an economy price.

Policies

General:

Non Smoking Facility - Credit card will be charged a Minimum of $75.00 for additional cleaning if the customer smokes in the room. Smoking is allowed outside only.

Deposit:

Credit Card is required for all reservations and room rentals

Check In:

Check in time is after 2:00 P.M.

Check Out:

Check Out time is 10:00 A.M. Additional charges apply for late check out. Leave key in room or in key drop box for early check out.

Children:

Children under 12 stay at no charge with adult (minimum room rate applies).

Pets:

Pet rooms are available. Pets are not allowed to be left in the room unattended, and not allowed on furniture or beds. Extra cleaning fees apply if rules are not adhered to or if there are damages done by the pet.
